The transmission of information has evolved tremendously within the last century. Although the wire appears to be a simple form, it's function and potential is highly complex. Optical fiber can send and receive information at ultra speeds and great distances. Through light refraction, pulses of light transform into images and words which are projected through our lap tops, desk tops and televisions. The world wide web provides us with massive doses of entertainment, communication and education. Popular websites such as Google, You-tube, and facebook encourage users to explore, be entertained and communicate. All of which is provided through the transmission of light.
